Hey everyone,

 

So I was trying to think of some cool things we could do as a  growing community and I figured since this is the Fan Art section why not do something called a Community Art Showdown!

 

What is a Community Art Showdown? It's a series where I will throw out a challenge (for fun) with some theme and get the community to participate in it, as we get more content I will add more things to do (Video challenges, story jams, lets plays....et) so stay tuned!

 

For our very first challenge I want to see you guys create some old school box art. I've attached the original Master of Orion box art to get your creative juices flowing! 

 

Remember that this is just for fun so if you're not much of an artist it's ok....just have fun with it. I'll post my bad box art once I finish it up! Good luck and can't wait to see what you guys come up wiht.

i will have to do this on paper due to my adobe account is still offline because my parents wont give me the money they owe me. . .

For a moment there, I thought the Mrrshan woman was rather buxom, but then realized that's the Klackon's head.    There's no "embarrassed" emoticon option?

 

On a different topic, the original MoO 1 cover, I never really understood it.  On the top, is that a city on top of roman columns?  Who goes "Hey, why don't we build a city on top of those precarious pillars!"  And the three ships battling it out.  Is the top left ship trying to grasp the rightmost ship?  Or is that its landing gear?  Why does they look like bugs with big rear legs?

 

All in all, the cover does bring back fond memories, I'm not saying I dislike it, but it just don't make sense, like the Megaman cover artwork

 

I'll make my own crappy cover later when I have the time
