I find the combat system very different from MoO2. Leaving the AI up to making choices always ends with less than ideal results. Basically getting ships that should outclass enemy ships getting pulverized.

Is there any articles one the combat system that is better then the game manual which leaving out a great amount of detail.

I'm not a fan of the combat system in this version of MOO. It doesn't work well compared to MOO 2. There was a guide for it though if I recall correctly. You can search the forum here for it, or perhaps one of the other members who knows where to find it will post a link for you.

Here's the guide Omega_Weapon referenced: http://forum.mastero...tatical-combat/ (this guide is from early access and is slightly out of date in some aspects)

There's also this general guide on Steam that has a section on tactical combat: https://steamcommuni...s/?id=765587684

Thank you for the links Spud.

The interface and commands still seem a little strange in this game. Less like a true turn-based game and more like a real-time game that just keeps getting paused in the middle of combat.
