Ahhh, I am sorry Vadhon, yes I misread it, The scientist had something of Sean Connery to him, that was pretty awesome :D

Alkari Marines

The Alkari Marines should definitely have a combat bonus... :)

Also, it would make a big difference if the Alkari are redesigned to have eyes on the sides instead of both facing forward.

The bird of prey variety should have forward looking eyes :P

Yeah, placement of eyes in birds of prey gives them good binocular vision (to accurately judgedistances) however their eyesockets are still not forward facing as in humans.

Even the sockets of Owls are not completely forward facing...

Also the eyes of birds are much larger in relation to their skull or body than the eyes of mammals

They also have perfect eyesight. An eagle can spot a small mouse from 1km on a farmland.

If you ask me this is the best Alkari model I have seen so far in here. It actually has some elegance to it. :) Still the Alkari are pretty strange birds, since they don`t appear to have any sort of wings anymore.

Moreover, I advise that the tactical combat must be made more player controllable and informative for this to become a proper MOO game.

The long lost formula for space 4X game success = Good tactical combat + good empire management > than just good tactical combat or good empire management alone.

in-game the Alkari are described as Avian Hominids.

pls change such description as it is just ...  **silly**  ... to say it in a nice way.

hominids
a primate of a family ( Hominidae ;) which includes humans and their fossil ancestors.
