New Star Trek Series coming 2017

Hey everyone!

So I ran across this article http://www.startrek.com/article/new-star-trek-series-premieres-january-2017 and figured if you haven't seen it yet.....let's discuss.

They state it won't have to do with the JJ film franchises which leads me to believe it could be a continuation of TNG....but then that's what STO is all about.

Masters of Orion is coming back,

Now a New StarTrek Series?

These two have me skeptical.

If MoO is like MoO 1 or 2 - great. If it is like MoO 3? lame.

Same goes for Star Trek.

If it is like Voyager / Next Generation - great, if it is like Enterprise - lame.

It's a bit weird to reboot the franchise and then create a new series that doesn't follow the reboot.

Voyager was pretty weak, and Enterprise was downright awful. If it's the same Rick Berman team that's responsible for the previous series, I'm not interested.
