After reading the annoucement of the video in a forum i visit.

I have been playing MOO games since 1993. It's my favorite 4x space strategy game family. Master of Orion comes first for me, closely followed by the two sequels. While MOO3 had initial problems, the game has a lot of great features and races that should be considered in sequels as well.

Playing MOO since 1993

Playing MOO Conquer the Stars on GOG Galaxy

Came here from the European side of the Forums, since for one reason or another Wargaming has two English language Master Of Orion forums, which at least to me seems quite odd.

Moreover, I advise that the tactical combat must be made more player controllable and informative for this to become a proper MOO game.

The long lost formula for space 4X game success = Good tactical combat + good empire management > than just good tactical combat or good empire management alone.

hehe.. I see one or two familiar faces up there from the IGMOO/ATMOO moo3 forum..   I am home!

(was Lord Aramus on the Infogrames/atari forums)

I've been playing master of orion since it came out in 1993.   and yes, I mean still playing.. one of the few 4x games ever made you can play an entire game in a few hours.    (thank you gog.com)

I've been a part of the Master of Orion (3) community over at Atari (and before that Infogrames) and had something like 18.000 posts there. I'm waiting to see people from back then join these forums as well because we were quite a tight group (modders, fanfic writers etc.)

I'm also notorious for being the only person over at Atari that could still post even when I went way past the WL limit over there.

I still play the original MoO on business trips.

Love, neliz

Thanks man, good to see you too. Although the exposure for the new MoO has been quite mediocre (imho) I think it will grow slowly. I enjoyed the hek out of Endless Space for instance and once you see that get picked up by a site like PCGamer, the community will grow.

I for one am exited and maybe I can check if we can bundle MoO with the Gaming laptops we make (we already bundle with WoT) because I want more people to enjoy MoO.

i think the slow warm up was a good strategy.  so many power hitters at E3.  it'll pick up steam for sure

Would you believe an acquittance from the Master of Orion III forums put a link in his Twitter account?

Too bad. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it!

Found it under the "Forums" tab on the wot page. So what's this game about. Spacey stuff by the looks of it?
